What You’re Missing if You Haven’t Enrolled in The Music Box

    Music Lessons for All Ages

Is your child attending music lessons but doesn’t seem to be “into” music? Before you conclude that your kid probably isn’t too thrilled with the guitar, bass, or drums, or that music isn’t the right way to go, did it cross your mind that it might be the school that’s not teaching your child what it’s supposed to?

It’s a hard-to-swallow pill, but not all music schools are made equal. Some music instructors founded online lessons after attending just a few courses; for some, it’s a side gig, and others are in it purely for the money.

As Tampa’s premier music school, The Music Box coaches live and breathe music – we’re here for our students every step of the way, and we want to take this opportunity to show you what you’re missing out on by NOT being a member of our reputable establishment.

What is The Music Box & What Makes Us Different?

The Music Box is Tampa, Florida’s top-ranked music school. Equipped with state-of-the-art music equipment, staffing dozens of the industry’s finest music coaches, and committed to making the process of learning music easy and fun, we built The Music Box to be a place of education, entertainment, and friendship in equal measure.

Unlike your average music school, we don’t hire music instructors and teachers – we have coaches who inspire, educate, and work with each student to ensure everyone’s true potential is realized.

We never wanted to settle for less-than-perfect gear – that’s why you or your child will get to play on some of the best-sounding gear, learn how to record, and ultimately play live performances with your classmates in venues of some of our partners.

In a nutshell, you’re missing out on top-quality music education; you’re missing an opportunity to learn alongside similarly-aged, like-minded individuals and grow to become an adept musician; if you always wanted to be a part of a band, we’ve got you covered.

    The Music Box Coaching Method

The Music Box advantage lies in our exquisite coaching method. We firmly believe that every child or adult who likes music and wants to learn how to play an instrument should have the means to foster their aspirations.

Many music teachers and instructors fail in what we believe is the goal of teaching music – helping the student achieve their dreams. By flooding the students with decades of bland, compressed information, complicating the already-convoluted music theory lessons, and completely ignoring what students came to learn, people fall out of love with music.

Our music coaches have worked with kids, teens, and adults for years. They make custom curriculums and always leave ample room for students’ wishes, whether it be including a specific song, scale, or technique. Check out our TikTok profile and see how we do it.

    What About Recording Music?

Nearly all music schools and teachers avoid the topic of recording music and for a good reason. It’s not just that the topic is enormous and complex, it is also very difficult to explain if the group is not in the studio.

Unlike many music schools, The Music Box has its own little recording studio complete with premium recording equipment and all the necessary gear.

If you saw our Instagram page, you probably saw dozens of our students shredding their guitars, pulling off groovy beats, and rocking out. Apart from recording clips to immortalize the progress our students are making, we’re also teaching kids and all of our students how to properly use audio recording equipment like special microphones, DAWs, multi-tracks, and more.

    The Music Box Bands

Creating a band is as challenging as it is a rewarding experience. It can be a true blessing if you’re playing music with friends and people you’re comfortable with, or a very difficult chore if you’re trying to keep up with the standards of musicians you’re meeting for the first time.

We’ve purposefully created a perfect environment for our students to form bands with their classmates at The Music Box. Your child won’t need to search for people of similar age and interests or worry about fitting in – all of our students learn and grow together, so it’s only natural that they’ll continue playing as a unit when their skills and chops are polished enough.

Our music coaches help the students come up with band names, create logos, write playlists, and learn the songs they’re eventually going to be playing live. Check out our Facebook page to learn more.

Live Gigs in Florida & Beyond

To musicians, live gigs are what sports matches and tournaments are to football or basketball players. Your child has been practicing for a while, learning new techniques and songs, and live performances are trial grounds where they’ll get to show off their skills and talent.

That’s why we not only encourage our students to play live but also host gigs as well. For starters, we create “simulated” gigs by inviting you and other parents to your child’s first live show – these mini-concerts always take place at The Music Box, but since all of our students are always beyond euphoric after the show ends, we also host real gigs at real rock & roll venues.

And don’t worry – safety is our number one priority at all times. We’ve worked with the same club owners for years and we ensure your child will have all the support they need before, during, and after each show.

Children Aged 4 & Above are Welcome

The latest research tells us that the ideal time to start learning how to play an instrument is 4. Kids gain new skills, make friends faster, and need a steady outlet for their overflowing energy, as well as something to focus on. If your child is musical and you’re looking for an active, engaging hobby to keep them entertained, let us welcome you To The Music Box.
